Fun With Flashing–Ohh I Mean Flashes

Met up with some photog friends and flashes in the Village on Saturday. We just ran around for a bit and took some silly shots. Justin Ong, Thomas Yu, and Brian Fortson.

We all took different pics. I plan to link to the other guys’ pics once they’re up.

UPDATE: I added one more photo in the next post.
Justin’s post his here.

Here are mine, accompanied by quotes that have been running through my head lately.

Freedom What does the billboard say
Come and play, come and play
Forget about the movement

(Anger is a gift)

Rock star …an entire generation pumping gas and waiting tables; or they’re slaves with white collars. Advertisements have them chasing cars and clothes, working jobs they hate so they can buy shit they don’t need…We were raised by television to believe that we’d be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars–but we won’t. And we’re learning that fact. And we’re very, very pissed-off.

A little song and dance This is the best that I can do
To throw my energy into your apathy
It’s the best that I can do

I once had pride, I once had guts
But I gave up all that shit for the big easy
So now I rely on you to get me through this
I once believe I had a name
But my name was changed to the numbers on my resume
So I hope that you’re impressed
I did it all for you
It’s the best that I could do
A little song and dance
Can have its consequences
It’s the best that I can do

Quotes in order of appearance are from:
Freedom by Rage Against The Machine
Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk (novel), Jim Uhls (screenplay)
A Little Song And Dance by Cursive

DISCLAIMER: THE QUOTES ARE IN NO WAY MEANT TO IMPLY ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT TOM AND JUSTIN WHO MODELED FOR ME. (WE MODELED FOR EACH OTHER.) AS MY MODELS IN THESE SHOTS, THEY ARE FICTITIOUS CHARACTERS.
