The world of photography has truly grown, with great cameras being available to more people. It’s great to be able to go on facebook or other websites and see people taking great photos. But there’s nothing worse than seeing bad photos with a caption that credits professional photographic services. I mean mediocre quality is one [...]

Parking Meters

This project started in 2005. It was one of the first projects I began when I got back into photography after a long hiatus. I started to realize that my creativity worked better when guided by limitations or project goals, so I thought it would be good for me to photograph parking meters. Graffiti on [...]

That’s Right Turkey, I’m Talking To You…

I guess we’ll see how it matures. The first page is meant to be first. The following can be read in any order. The photo was taken [...]

Fun With Flashing–Ohh I Mean Flashes

Met up with some photog friends and flashes in the Village on Saturday. We just ran around for a bit and took some silly shots. Justin Ong, Thomas Yu, and Brian Fortson. We all took different pics. I plan to link to the other guys’ pics once they’re up. UPDATE: I added one more photo [...]

Artistic Vision and Compromise

I was writing page after page of thoughts as I tried to answer cate songbird’s question, and I realized that maybe there’s a much easier answer. Do I feel that my artistic vision is compromised by covering weddings (since practically speaking, that is a viable business)? Sometimes yes. Sometimes no.
